Barrhead Home Building Centre Celebrates Anniversary
Store Thanks Customers and the Community for 30 Great Years
June 5, 2014
For Immediate Release
Time flies when you’re building a community! Barrhead Home
Building Centre is pleased to celebrate 30 years in business. A special anniversary
sale from June 18 to 21, 2014 and a community barbecue on June 19, 2014 will
mark the occasion.
Barrhead Home Building Centre was established by Rod and
Annette Fluet in 1984, bringing contractor-approved service and a specialty in
building materials, hardware, tools, paint and much more to the community under
the Home Hardware banner.
Purchased by the McLeod family in 2009, today the store
offers over 6,500 square feet of retail space and two acres of lumber and
building supplies to retail customers and professional contractors in the
region of Barrhead, Westlock, Mayerthorpe and surrounding areas.
General Manager Byron Sanderson, who has been with Barrhead
HBC for nearly half of those 30 years, has seen a lot of changes in the store,
but one thing has remained the same. “We are committed to ensuring every
customer has a great experience every time they visit our store and that they
leave not only with a smile on their face but with the right materials and
know-how to complete their unique projects.”
The entire community is invited to
celebrate with us on June 19, 2014 at a special barbecue at our store at
6101-48 Street from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Duncan McLeod, president, and
members of the McLeod family look forward to meeting friends and customers. Founders
Rod and Annette Fluet will also be on hand to share some memories.
There will be hamburgers, hotdogs and unadvertised in-store specials
to thank customers for their support over the years. A storewide sale featuring
many of the season’s best new products will take place from June 18 to 21.
